Privacy
fx runs on your machine. This page covers what leaves it and what this website collects. fx is published by Vercel Inc.; the Vercel privacy policy governs data handled by Vercel services.
The fx CLI
fx sends no telemetry, usage analytics, or crash reports. Prompts and the context for each turn go only to your configured model provider. Sessions, history, and credentials stay local under ~/.fx/ and are never uploaded.
Automatic updates are on by default: fx fetches release metadata from releases.fx.sh every 30 minutes, with no machine or installation identifier. Set FX_AUTO_UPGRADE=0 to turn them off. Data and privacy is the complete reference.
This website
fx.sh uses Vercel Web Analytics: anonymized page views, no cookies, no cross-site tracking. Install script downloads are counted from request metadata. The site is hosted on Vercel.
Third parties
Model providers, MCP servers, and networked tools you configure receive what you send them under their own policies. AI Gateway does not retain prompts or outputs after a request completes; teams can enable Zero Data Retention.
